Bear Valley Unified School District is committed to educating students to be productive citizens.

District Objectives

• 100% of our students will graduate from high school.

• 100% of our schools will meet or exceed the annual API growth targets.

District Strategies

1. We will create a balanced, articulated, student-centered K-12 curriculum which integrates creativity, communication and life skills with a strong academic program.
2. We will develop and adhere to rigorous standards and utilize assessment tools to monitor student performance and guide instruction.
3. We will integrate the meaningful use of technology throughout our educational system.
4. We will insure a safe, clean, and structured environment that supports learning for students and staff.
5. We will provide structured time for all staff to collaborate, plan, receive training and evaluate the effectiveness of their work in support of the four objectives.
6. We will support open lines of communication for all employees and provide a vehicle for dialogue on an ongoing basis.
7. We will provide appropriate resources and facilities to support our objectives.
8. We will design and implement a comprehensive, ongoing professional development program for all staff.
9. We will design and implement a systematic means of supporting, involving, and communicating with community and family members.
10. We will provide alternative programs and/or strategies to support students.
11. We will provide opportunities for participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and a process for determining which programs shall be offered.
